External Quality Assurers (EQAs)

Agored Cymru is looking for suitably qualified and experienced professionals to conduct external quality assurance activities in the following subject/ sector areas:

  • Essential Skills Practitioners (Digital Literacy)
  • Schools provision (Learning Core: Personal and Social Education, Young People’s Participation, Wales Europe and the World, Work Related Education)
  • Work based learning
  • ICT/ Digital technology
  • Hospitality & Catering
  • Safeguarding
  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence
  • Healthcare services
  • Occupational Therapy

Activities may include full site visits and remote external quality assurance.

External quality assurers are employed on a zero hours contract (occasional contract to meet business need) and issued with work assignments.

Some travel will be required as part of the role.

 

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with the ability to converse and write reports through the medium of Welsh.

 

Access to Higher Education Subject Specialist External Verifiers

Agored Cymru is looking for suitably qualified and experienced professionals with knowledge and expertise in the assessment practices associated with the Access to Higher Education Diploma. We are currently keen to hear from those with experience in the following subject specialist areas:

  • Applied information communication technology (ICT)
  • Physics
  • Engineering

Subject specialist external verifiers for Access to Higher Education Diplomas are required to carry out all activities remotely and must have full internet access.

Access to Higher education external verifiers are employed on a zero hours contract (occasional contract to meet business need) and issued with work assignments.

Some travel might be required as part of the role.


Trainers/Assessors

Agored Cymru is looking for suitably qualified and experienced professionals to deliver our scheduled/ on demand and bespoke training and support programme. Our training programme is delivered throughout Wales and in a variety of venues including customer’s premises, therefore some travel will be required as part of the role.

We are interested in hearing from suitably qualified and experienced professionals to deliver training in the following:

  • Introduction to Assessment
  • Introduction to Internal Quality Assurance
  • Agored Cymru Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
  • Agored Cymru Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
  • Reasonable Adjustments in assessment: Ensuring Equality & Diversity in Delivery and Assessment
  • Introduction to Credit based Learning
  • Good Practice Centre Devised Assessment Tasks
